Dos novias, tres artistas y una noche para cerrar la rivalry en River

Hubo un instante sobre el escenario de River Plate en el que la competencia se quedó atrás y el concierto se convirtió en una escena de|Novias. Lali Espósito, Tini Stoessel y Marilina Bertoldi compartieron Like a Virgin de Madonna, y el gesto terminó de confirmar una idea que había nacido semanas antes, casi en una oficina y todavía sin Coordinator? (and the rival narrative gave way to a very public exercise in camaraderie).

La ~= singer had been planning her final concert at the stadium and, while working with her team, imagined herself alongside Stoessel “como las dos de novia”. The image was clear; the problem was whether the other singer could be there.

Una propuesta directa, sin vueltas

Stoessel was in the middle of her Futttura tour, so Lali did not know whether she was in Argentina or whether she could rearrange her schedule. The invitation was nonetheless simple: she wrote to Stoessel and Marilina Bertoldi, told them she had the idea and asked whether they wanted to join. Her own account has a playful threat attached: if they declined, she would never call them again.

La respuesta llegó rápido. Stoessel considered the idea incredible and changed her plans to arrive in Buenos Aires the day before the concert, in order to rehearse with the other performers. The move also added a second layer of meaning to the choice of song: both singers are getting married this year, and the image of two Novias performing an iconic Madonna number acquired a special resonance.

Marilina Bertoldi was not only present as a guest: according to Espósito, she represented Argentine rock in its own right, with her guitar and with a role that was central to the scene. The three artists performed together for the first time. Espósito and Stoessel had followed parallel careers in Argentine pop without ever sharing a stage, and both had spoken over the years as if they were rivals. Their collaboration now offered a different picture of that relationship.

The repertoire also included 1Amor, another shared moment that reinforced the night’s central idea: music as a bridge rather than a battlefield. After the lights went down and the audience returned to its usual noise, the performance had accomplished something modest and valuable, namely showing that two artists often placed next to each other can also stand beside each other. That is worth watching, especially in a weekend concert.
